Dr. McClain is board certified in emergency medicine and has been exclusively practicing occupational medicine for the past 28 years. His practice focus is on injury or illness management as well as OSHA surveillance exams.
He has performed hundreds of IMEs and PPI ratings using the 4th, 5th, and 6th editions of the “AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment”. Most recently he collaborated with the University of Kentucky and the RETAIN project designed to keep employees with medical problems at work rather than on disability.
He was instrumental in teaching providers how to keep their patients at work. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, fishing, piano, and a large family.
